Florida Homes for Sale
Florida homes are some of the most sought after in the United States given that it is one of the most popular destinations for many different kinds of people; relocating families, retirees, tourists from the U.S, Canada, Britain, Europe and the rest of the world.
Florida homes come in all shapes and sizes, architectural styles and are built using a variety of materials. With ongoing improvements and new innovations in the building industry, meeting the vastly improved building codes is become second nature to developers and many of them now take the building codes and regulations as a bare minimum standard.
Single family homes, coach homes, patio homes, townhomes... whatever type of new home in Florida suits your needs, there is one here with your name on it. A home in Florida is one that will allow you to not only enjoy a better quality of life, but you will be able to discover a true Florida lifestyle AND given the low prices, be in a great position to make some equity along the way.

Buying a new home in Florida is not only a great investment, especially with the decreased prices since 2005, but it is also a great place to call home. Florida offers a wonderful year round climate, which is good news for outdoor sports enthusiasts, particularly boaters, golfers and fishermen. Young families are also able to enjoy an outdoor lifestyle just about every week of the year and entertaining is not a problem with all of the theme parks and attractions that Florida has to offer.
Once you have decided on the right area - whether that be close to the bright lights and theme parks of Orlando, the hustle and bustle of Miami or Jacksonville or the laidback lifestyles of the Florida Keys and the Gulf coast - you will need to take a closer look at the various communities, master planned communities, urban homes and beach homes.
Obviously if you have children, schools are an important factor - you can visit the Florida Department of Education here - Once you have decided on a suitable school you will find your options a little more streamlined and probably have a narrower choice of areas and communities that are within the school district of you choice.
Second home owners will have different order to their criteria, with the most important normally being sporting facilities, local amenities, security and healthcare.
You should, hopefully, be pre-qualified at this point and be aware of your available budget and how far it will stretch.
Now it is time to begin in depth discussion with your realtor, explaining EXACTLY what sort of property you would like to buy, all of your requirements regarding the home and what you expect from it. Together you will be able to quickly assimilate your best options, with your realtor sending you homes and their specifications and you replying concisely with why or why not the homes meet or do not meet your requirements.
As Ernest hemingway wrote in For Whom the Bell Tolls - Today is only one day in all the days that will ever be. But what will happen in all the other days that ever come can depend on what you do today.
Honesty is by far the best track to take, as your realtor would much prefer to hear truthfully, the reasons why you do not like a home rather than "It was nice but not for us" because you do not wish to offend either your realtors choice of homes or the seller of the home. You will be investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into the purchase of your new home in Florida and there is no room for being "Over Polite" or by making excuses, just so that you do not offend a seller who you have never met before and will never meet again! The likelihood is that you have already sold at least one home before and there is nothing worse than a call from your realtor when all the feedback they give you is "They liked it, but not enough!" Wouldn't you have rather heard the truth - it was too old, it needed too much work, it was too expensive etc? At least you would have had information to work with!
It is your hard earned money, not theirs and the only person that can look out for it is you. If you are honest with your realtor you will find that they will work even harder for you because they realise that you are serious about buying a new home. Buyers realtors work for you for FREE, being paid by either the developer or the listing/ selling agent, so it easy to see that a buyers realtor will give a client who is serious MORE time than one that will not or cannot give straight answers.
